'being inbetween at twenteen' is the behind-the-scenes blog of twenteen 'zine.
twenteen 'zine is an accidental business proposal that got pushed through and is now in the hands of myself, an unorganised dreamer seemingly allergic to anything that may end successfully.
this blog is a virtual documentation of the trials and tribulations encountered in starting up a magazine when all the odds are far from favourable.
So I'm slouching towards the inevitable with about as much enthusiasm as a wet carrot. Having been on 'hiatus' from Twenteen for about a month, today, in the wake of a mojito hangover, my aching body decided enough is enough and it was high time I get back to business.
'Business' is kind of bullshit. The idea of selling comes about as naturally to me as ancient greek. This is why I will never be rich. That, and I'm terribly lazy. But enough bigging myself up, I've got work to do.
The first issue of 'Twenteen' came out reasonably smoothly in April. Distribution has been a bit slack. Apparently boxes and boxes of magazines under the stairs at my flat don't distribute themselves.
You can get a copy by emailing naida@twenteenzine.co.uk OR you can have a read through the online version HERE-> http://twenteenzine.co.uk/
Work commences for Issue 2 with a 15 minute photobooth shoot with an iced ring donut, hence the above photo. I'm still in my pyjamas. Today is going to be a good day.
